Honestly- if you didnt get into an NLU, theres little point going to universities pretending to be NLUS or following the NLU model. Little reward in that, and theyll charge crazy fees. Dont go to symbi or JGLS or whatever. Christ- maybe, but not really worth it.

What I would do in your place is do a BA and then try to do the llb from campus law centre, or do the BA LLB at GLC. theyll let you intern all year around. And that if anything makes your job prospects much better.

The CLAT Fiasco that happened this year and btw it's still going on, should be enough to question the integrity of the exam and the people it is admitting into the top law schools of the country. That exam favours luck more than anything.The batch that came in last year and the batch that is gonna get in this year has got to be the dumbest batches ever. Literally people with prep of 10-20 days in CLAT 2024 are my batchmates at NLUJ right now. If that's not enough to convince you that CLAT isn't it what it used to be anymore then idk what else will. I understand that if you're older and gave CLAT many years ago but it's not the same anymore. Any tom dick harry who got to know about clat two days before the exam and has the favour of luck can do well in the exam.

Try getting into GLC/ILS, some people are still able to get into Top Tier Law Firms from those colleges. Even I've seen Christ Bangalore, NMIMS, Praveen Gandhi, People working in Good Law firms. Surprisingly people from Amity and VIPS in Delhi, I've seen them working with SAM. Something you should need to understand is you won't get the cream crowd in these colleges, but you'll have to work your way out of it. Obviously doable. Perhaps, something which you might not be aware of is if your main aim is Tier 1 Law firms and you fail to make it right after your college, you can anyway start working in a tier 2/3 firms such as ALMT Legal, PSA, Samvad just to name a few and HeadHunters, WILL APPROACH YOU WITH A TIER 1 LAW FIRM JOB OFFER. Don't you worry buddy, attrition rate is very high, just be patient, learn in your internships, don't go behind buying courses, stay true to your cv, do deep research and publish it, no one is taking away your dream job from you. You need to understand that you haven't started your career in law as of now. 5 years is a big long time. You change, people around you change, market will change so will the employment and so will your area of interest.
Do not think about how to get into a T-1 Law firm, at least at this point of time. First I would suggest, if you get SLS Pune, go for it. If you want to focus in giving another shot at CLAT, go for it, but be aware the volatility of this exam. If you crack CLAT and get into a decent NLU, focus on getting good. Experiment with your interest and necessity. Participate in competitions, do decent internships if not the best T1s, because you never know, your grades can help you jump ahead of the queue. By the end of your 3rd Year/Beginning of your 4th year, make a decision what do you want to pursue.

I would strongly recommend you not to look for job prospect right now, at least jumping into the bandwagon of Corporate Law Firms and law firm internships is futile at the moment [there is no early start advantage in this field, especially those seeking jobs in law firms: telling you from experience]. So, go slow, and enjoy as you go along the road.

Didn't get an NLU and SLAT results are awaited.Financial situations are not good enough for JGLS. I'll be going to other law schools apart from those. How do I ensure a job at the end of my law school? I wanna get into a tier 1 corporate law firm.

Pls don't rant about the fact that you hate your corporate law job here and try to get me off the path.
