At SAM, it’s 1500 billable hours per year. Approx - 6.5 billable hours each day.
The above figures include both billable and non-billable. If you are above A2 level, them 70:30 or better should be the billable to non billable ratio. At levels lower than A2 ratio is bit relaxed, for A0-A1 pool, I have seen firms with 50:50 as well.
1800-2000 is a standard target often quoted by partners but that is pure bull if you want any semblance of life...and on the lower levels you barely have any upside to reaching these levels- needless to say, except "experience"
200 billable or 200 including both billable and non-billables?
Anything below 200 hours per month and 2000 hours per year is not acceptable. Does not matter how much less you have worked but do maintain the figures above.
Please share insights as to general practice related to time-sheets. Do you show more or less time then what you actually spent on a particular task?
