1) how is corp law the "only" law that excites you when you've just joined University and have neither read corp or any other law for that matter. It's like saying you only like Chicago when your passport is yet to come.
2) let's say you somehow read all you had to before college. Tbe laws regarding corporations are the only thing that made your mind tickle?

But only reflecting upon my current interests, I'd say that I am interested in this field of law. I like reading up about these stuff in my free time.Even during my CLAT prep,business laws principles in the legal Reasoning sections were what had my utmost attention News such as IPOs, Acquisitions, etc excites me and I also read up business case studies in my free time. I thought, I'd like to be on the centre of these business decisions and would like to know how businesses work from inside. Ofcourse,you all are much more experienced and know better than me.
I know this is a much more niched forum and I wouldn't have come here if I didn't require some serious guidance.
As someone who was in your shoes not too long ago- I understand where you’re coming from. I took CLAT twice, and got a rank good enough to get into a Tier 2 NLU, my parents insisted that I go to a pvt uni instead. I am extremely privileged that way, I’ll admit.
But at that point, I felt that I was good for nothing if I didn’t get into T5 NLUs. As someone in their penultimate year with adequate mooting experience, internship experience and generally as someone doing academically decent, I’d like to tell you, except for the fees and infrastructure theres basically no difference between your education in an NLU and some pvt unis.
It really really doesn’t matter in the long run. You are no different from any NLU kid, however smart you or they think they are.
Piece of advice- at this point in your life you may not know what corporate law actually is. What you like right now may be commercial law- give it a few semesters: actually go to law school and make your decision.
Do not base your self worth off of precedents of people who have done well.
You will do extremely well yourself. Good luck!
