Any advice on how to find out how the teams hires? By taking to peeps in office?
I know the callback is in no way a guarantee but for a PPO isn't it kind of necessary,no?
And you mean keep the partners in loop of the work done??
1. Make sure you work for a partner who generally hires A0s, and not laterals.
2. Your mentor should be in the loop along with the partner on a weekly basis, as soon as your internship ends, they're gonna ghost you.
3. Feel free to irritate HR.
4. Callbacks are not a hiring guarantee at all. Most teams want cheap labour. Just make sure they're actually assessing you.
5. There's no timing. It's on the whims of the partner (equity partner) only. Can be today, tomorrow, in May/ June. Unlike placements,,there is no HR role in this.
Also, will one be treated different during their internships at T1 of they are not from an NLU?
I am in my 4th year and from a non-NLU. I interned with the Mergers team of a T2 in July and August this year. I have an internship lined up in at a T1 in Delhi for February and wanted to know how to proceed further to aim for a PPO.
Can someone please explain till when the firms will give PPOs to my batch and if I manage to secure a call back or another T1 internship in July/August '25, will it still be possible to get an offer or is it too late at this point? Also, which firms that are actively hiring should one apply for?
