We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

On the professional front, do you have a PhD? If not, then apply to an LGBT friendly country for PhD and then try to settle down there. If you already have a PhD then look for postdoc or fellowships. There are many available at your age. Look out for things which are open to "early career researchers"
Am in my earlier 30s, gay, closeted and single. Just choked on me being myself. Have been in academia for 6 years but shit runs professionaly and personally.
I have been keen in applying abroad so as to ensure i have avenues of settling there and find companionship. Have been unlucky with love. Is love overrated?
Any assistance for abroad applications and connecting with similar situation would help me survive.
