Hi I need to enroll with Delhi Bar Council but I live in Noida. Questions - (i) can I register in Delhi if I'm from Noida?; (ii) I don't have any ID proofs with my Noida address, can I use property papers as proof of residence (I recently bought a flat here)?
Nope. Another way out is to show rent agreement but then you would need your owner's id.
Continuing the above, basically if the flat is not in your name get into the rent agreement with the owner, which would most probably be your parents.
But I'm the owner. Why would I need a rent agreement?
Noida falls in Delhi NCR. I am from Meerut so we don't need residency proof or rent agreement. AADHAR card worked for me.
Continuing the above, I confirmed it with the people at Siri Fort. Yes, if you are from Delhi NCR, Aadhar will do just fine.
Agreed, my address was Gr Noida, and they accepted Voter ID as address proof since it fell within NCR
(i) Yes. There are thousands of lawyers who are enrolled in Delhi but live in Noida, Gzb and Ggn; (ii) change your Aadhaar address to your Noida address based on your new flat papers and then use the revised Aadhaar to enroll.
