Sorry, we chose a desk in a corporate office than at a court for some stability because daddy/mommy didn't raise us in a court, but in no way does that mean you demean a practice field over the other. Litigation is great, the possible influence is phenomenal but hey, it's another practice area at the end of the day. Get off your high horse, it's giving 'self-made’ trust fund baby.
Funny how you keep calling corporate law "easy," yet here you are, tirelessly putting them down—almost like you need to convince yourself that your path is somehow more noble, more "worthy." But deep down, I think we both know what’s going on: it’s not about corporate law being beneath you; it’s about knowing you’ll never measure up in the spaces you spend so much time hating on. Real confidence doesn’t have to waste time tearing others down to feel big. Maybe it’s time you learned that.
It's amusing that someone who touts the difficulty and prestige of litigation spends so much time throwing tantrums online. Maybe if you invested half the energy you use to belittle others into your own practice, you'd have less time to worry about what everyone else is doing.

OP's post was simply trying to understand why people from well-off backgrounds choose to join corporate law. It wasn't an invitation for your off-topic and disrespectful rant, which didn't even answer the question.
I know plenty of individuals who come from challenging financial backgrounds and have joined law firms through sheer hard work—much like any dedicated litigating lawyer. You have no right to judge them or dismiss their efforts. Perhaps instead of casting judgments, you should reflect on why you feel the need to demean others to elevate yourself. But if venting your frustrations on the internet helps you cope with whatever's lacking in your career, who am I to stop you? Just remember, respect in our profession is earned through merit and professionalism—not through childish insults and unfounded arrogance.

And then there’s the irony of your little lecture on professionalism. “Childish insults and unfounded arrogance,” you say, while delivering a textbook case of sanctimony with a side of condescension. If respect is “earned through merit,” perhaps you should invest less time moralizing online and more time proving yourself in the courtroom.Lastly, your insistence that others stop “worrying about what everyone else is doing” is rich, considering you’ve written a novella’s worth of unsolicited advice here. The stereotyped perception of a Corp lawyer is someone who earns 5-10 cr a year, works in a swanky office, drives a Merc, dresses in Armani suits, smokes cigars, drinks champagne and dates the hottest women. This stereotype has been reinforced by certain American TV shows.
1. Since corp law is mainly based on connections, and life of glamour and sleaze attracts these right out of privileged folks, they find it easier to gel in and get a foot in the door.
2. They don't want to ruggedness and hardships of litigation practice in their prime years atleast.
In either of the situations, these entitled peeps have no concrete plan whatsoever to stick in the long run and it would just too pointless for them to do something which others have to do for survival literally. They can anyday leave the profession altogether and enjoy a luxiorious life.
They dont. They do it for 1-2 years to satisfy their ego of being "self made" like you and quit as soon as shit hits the fan because they dont have to worry about emi payments if they quit.
