I thought that after getting a PPO I will chill, party hard and socialise with people around but it has been three months and I am bored and I feel I am getting rusty.
Since I will be joining the firm next year around July/ August (2025), I want you all to suggest something to pursue career wise. I am done with travelling and partying and I want to utilise my time effectively to further strengthen my career prospects.
I don’t want to do CS. Thinking of CFA but does it make sense? Please suggest me something.

Pick up a hobby or something. I promise you no amount of preliminary learning is going to help you in a law firm. Just the basics, and the rest is learning on the job.
I have worked extensively in Projects (most of my internships) and I find the complexity challenging. Fortunately, I was given almost associate like work and I knew what I am getting into.
I am into projects and project finance for long, that’s for sure. If you have any suggestions, do let me know.
Apart from law, this field is too technical- application of physics (energy law aspects, construction technicalities ) and chemistry (minning laws + petroleum law + so many). That’s the reason we have so few projects lawyers- almost everyone trying to leave before they enter.
Maybe also explore other options. Perhaps you might want to do further study to some extent after a few years of working, either for purposes of career shift or for some other reason. How will that work?
You could also revise your basics so you have a strong grasp on the black letter law when you go in. Oh and obviously, study and do well in your final exams!
Interns have one primary motivations to perform well- To get a job. When you already have one, how would feel motivated to work as an intern for 10-15K when you will be earning 1-1.5L as an associate. I thought of interning too, but I was like- Kyu intern ban na hai jab associate ban na wala hoon😂

My family is financially well off but it is awkward for me to bug them for money especially for my outings, movies, dinners, shopping etc. Yeah, so i am fairly motivated for the 20k stipend. I use it to buy whatever that makes me happy :)
But I wonder if i would just go on to put on the weight once i join as an associate because the pressure has to be worse than whatever it was as an intern.
