You join a law firm or a for that matter consultancy after an MBA to grind for a few years, get experience - and then settle into more sustainable jobs. But, when you do MBA after doing law for 5 years and job for 2 years- you set the clock back. Post the MBA, you naturally grow older (compared to your post law school self), and the grind can be more difficult, and stakes higher. You may get married, your parents may need care. Life's responsibilities pile on - as you grow older
My two cents - think your next steps through carefully, lest you fall in a trap similar to law like a mindless sheep. Your question as to what should you do next - unfortunately has no simple answers. But one thing I can say - it won't be one-size-fits all one..
