Section 157 often becomes 175 or vice versa in the exam hall when you're trying to recall the 70 sections that you've somehow managed to cram to the point of the exam.
The pay levels are ancient at all levels too.
If you haven't been apprised, most teams in firms take on 10-15 interns, many times a month in T1 firms, and have no desire in hiring. Hiring has been at the all time low since a "decade", and in such times, the most objective criteria continues to be the batch rank.
Also your inference is wrong from my argument, as I didnt make a reductive conclusion, I only said its way harder. Yes, with contacts and good luck with applications and the right team and exposure, sure, but generally, it is the case that people with middling to lower ranks do not make the cut, and it is almost always the case with most law firms that shortlists are prepared based on batch ranks and GPAs and the college giving you that. This includes PPOs. Internship feedback is disregarded by partners in many firms, especially in present times.
That is absolute rubbish. Batch rank and the college one is from still matters to a large extent at the fresher level, any internship work is disregarded.
