Treating people with disdain and hostility on a daily basis - disgusting. Tier 3 and 4 law firms treat people better. They do not pay like Tier 1's, but at least they treat people decent.

How do they do that? Bullying? Psychological torment? Undermining? A mixture of all the above?
We once set fire to the office. Didn't get fired.
Is this a fancy team where the rainmaker chose to switch quickly to firms.
There's a story I heard about some lawyers at a T-1 in BLR that actually caused a fire in the office. Didn't get fired still. So you'd probably have to do much much more.
this happened to the deceased Associate of former Big law.
depends on other factors too I know a tier 1 partner who overhired associates and started knit picking faults as soon few months passed and eventually didn’t confirm the probation resulting in exit of associates
they don't fire you directly but they make your life so miserable and lifeless that either you will die or leave
Probability is very low unless you set fire to the office or something. The law graduate quality in general is so bad that firms don't want to go through the hassle. People usually leave on their own
How come law firms get vacancies every year? As in do people switch or they fire them?

How much is the probability of getting fired at Tier 1s, 2 and 3?

P.S.: sorry for random title (:
