The one you are referring to is gonna go on a maternity leave. Feel bad that SET is gone though, she ▮▮▮ was a nice person. She will however return once her gig at MLS is over.
If you think SET is coming back while Sudhir is here, you know nothing about the faculty politics at NLS.
Why doesn't this logic apply to the Vice Chancellor? It would be great to get a new VC too!
congrats on figuring it out! There are term limits for that very reason.
Chancellor? Have you heard of mutual backscratching?
Please don't disrespect Sudhir like this. My bad writing should never be mistaken for his product.
Sarasu is going on lein. She’ll be back like lizzy. Salmoli will come back after fellowship. Who else is going that you’ve heard of ? It hardly seems like an exodus to lose a couple of people over 5 years.
What is a lien ? How does it work ? Do the professor take it or the university sends them ?
More like a deputation, where you move to a different institution for a fixed period of time and they pay your salary. During your lien you don't draw salary from your parent institution, but you retain seniority for things like promotion and work experience calculation.
Others have left too....Dr. Anindita Jaiswal with promising credentials joined NLS and left within a year. NLS was hardly bothered as the legacy of few continues..
Any idea why she left? I heard that UPES is trying to poach her from JGLS.
What about Srijoni Sen? She has left NLS too recently.
NLS is not a very good place to work at. But the thing is, it's better than its competitors.
you take care of your student's mental health first.

stop labelling ! not cool and shows insensitivity towards those battling real mental health issues.
I am not an NLS faculty. A bit inconvenient that, innit?

He isn't my boss. He is the head - the very good head, mind you - of an excellent university.

What has he published in last five years? Do share a list.
Wow! You really will get placed mate (even if you fail law school and are thrown out after the eight year limit, which you are bound to be), as long as you play to your strengths: conspiracy theorising!

Dean post means nothing. He doesn't get paid more because of that, nor will it help in his career growth or promotions.
Because as anyone who knows him in real life will attest to, SB is a gem of a person who honestly cares more for his students than his own self.
I guess that is why he recruits his former students.
That is a very convenient way to put it...the larger issue was institution level indifference and non-inclusivity.
