it's okay billy, not everyone has to understand everything, but don't speak loud and out you failed at something.
Income Tax Act is a vast ocean, and Section 80 is but a tiny portion of it.
And if you've read VSV Scheme, to resolve the disputed, you have to pay 100% of the disputed tax anyways (minus penalty and Interest). If you have a strong case, it makes no sense to avail this.
Till date there is no GSTAT and repeated amnesty schemes in erstwhile taxes are spelling a death knell for practitioners
In direct tax, Alternative tax regime means pay lower rate of tax by sacrificing deductions & exemptions. In fact the new tax regime is standard & in majority of the cases more beneficial.
Also central government has come out with another amnesty for income tax.
Guys/Girls working in taxation is there enough of a future in this practice space for lawyers?
