So this was my first internship outside Mumbai and cost me around 40-42k including flights to Delhi and back.

Is this normal what other interns spend ? Jut wanted to know.
Flights? That too for internship.

As a student do you find it demeaning traveling by train?
Try to get a reservation in trains between Mumbai and Delhi. And Rajdhani 3AC fares are literally equivalent to flights.
I think the textbook definition of demeaning is people like you assuming that students should always be okay doing things in horrible conditions.
If you equate traveling in trains to "horrible conditions", then clowns like you definitely deserve to travel by train. Look at the level of entitlement in the current generation, still surviving on their parent's money.
Buddy rajdhaani 3 tier was 3200 and flight was for 4k...why would I waste 16 hours in train
Look at the level of entitlement in the current generation. Even in a train, you can only think of AC 3 tier. Did you know that there are ample ordinary 3-tier options available where your total travel cost (return fare) would not exceed 1K?
Will you reimburse me if someone is already sitting on my seat or steals my belongings in Sleeper Class?
OK bhai, aap general me jao. For most upper middle class people, 4k on a flight is fine.
Look at the stereotypical limited narrow mindset of this older generation.
Please tell me these are trollish comments?

Else, I feel sorry for your kids…..
did that make you feel good? Did bullying a 20 something anonymously on the internet make you feel good? Did you get the validation you wanted? are you peers proud of you? can you please go back to your life now ?
you have a lot of money on you to be spending over 40k for an internship. Train fares would cost you 7-8k, and so would a sharing pg. 2-3k for travel. 5k for food. It doesn't even cost 25k if you aren't a spendthrift.
did you forget to include the cab fare to and fro airport?
I would suggest you intern in Mumbai. Why spend so much money for Delhi? Unless you want to work there later on in your career.
Lol, you're spending 40k to intern under a SC judge? Lmao, its of no use.
If you remove your flight costs you may cut your expenditure by almost half.
It costs more than that if you add rent so dw, you're fine
What's your breakup? Seems like an unusually high amount to spend.
20k rent plus electricity in double sharing pg in south delhi. 9k flight. 150-160 each day at SC canteen lunch for a month. Metro 1000. Rickshaw sometimes 1500. Rest in momos and essentials like facewash, soap, haircut etc
in may this year, i spent 22k (including travel tickets, rent, food, transportation, etc.). consider trains over flights, shared pgs over flats, and local/bus over cabs/taxis.
You can use trains, bro. You don't go by a flight and then crib about the expenses.
Thanks to OP. This gives confidence to all NLU administrations that they can keep hiking the fees at their respective universities without any issues. It is confirmed that students these days have a lot of spare cash.
