Lately, I have realised people here have lots of negatives to talk about. Give them anything and they'll say we don't like this.

Under former VC - Things were as corrupt as things could have been. She didn't even wish to listen. Nobody was allowed to meet her. Seniors Profs used to get their work done.

Now, Classrooms have become better, Programs keep on happening. The office of VC is approachable. Students are able to pursue what they wish to do. Collaborative teaching is a failure. The hike in scores were also because probably few batches complained of 70% thing in MP Judiciary as the crowd is mostly leaned towards Judicial Services. Placements are lagging which is collective failure of Admin, Alumni and some students. The good ones have great CV but the average crowd comes with useless CV because of Sarkari Naukri engrained in their mind due to probably Bihar Culture.

People in general are less exposed but really helpful. Competitive culture is surely lagging which has both positives and negatives. Faculty wise it is a pure mess. God bless earlier Administrators, New recruitment is awaiting the tests. The LRM Prof was extremely horrible due to whom none of the crowd could start writing papers.

Beyond Academics, Its a chill place. I mean even Academics is. You'll have to invest yourself to learn. Approach people to be taught. Seniors are helpful. Juniors are like Friends. Admin should be somehow strict to bring in discipline among students. The way student deviate from anything should not be encouraged at such level.

Compared to a year ago, It is a better place. I believe. I really believe my Batchmates will even have to start Introspection before entirely shifting the blaim.

Every Institution is collective effort of Admin + Students + Alumni.

Academic standards were diluted along with campus discipline when he was here at NALSAR. Soon, you will see students passing with close to zero attendance percentage (the same happened at NALSAR). He calls this the freedom model. NALSAR remained unaffected because of alumni. But I dont't know about CNLU.

Though things stated are precisely what is the case but in addition to administrative failure, the level of students and academic spirit has also hit an all time low. Every subsequent batch is worse than its predecessor. There are things, increasingly happening around me, which often makes me cringe out but I don't see a point of feeling regret. I just swiftly have dragged myself out of most of the politics, committees and events all which I find pointless at this point. The main issue, at the core, is that there are people who've been given weightage, who ideally shouldn't have been. When you let people whose brains are half eaten by zombies get into collective decision making, you get what exactly is happening in CNLU right now.

I am shocked to see not a single junior showing me quality at what is supposed to be their main job. I don't see anyone being able to sit on their laptops for hours even if the deadline's literally the next day. Things are might appear stale on the outside, but inside its now rotten to the core.

NKC is reportedly doing a Faizan at NUJS. There is a very strong chatter that Faizan is getting ready for Kolkata. Back in 2018, student action at both CNLU and NUJS ensured the eviction of PIB and also the corrupt administration of the then VC of CNLU. Unfortunately, the subsequent state-sponsored interim VCs and their successors have brought things back to square one. Both CNLU and NUJS now have student associations that prefer handouts from admin. So things are likely to spiral downwards but NUJS will fare better due to its location and alumni base. But that will go down eventually.

Never really understood how corrupt administrations are allowed to continue and inquiries casually stymied despite the presence of the HC and SC representatives in the EC.

The only good thing here before Faizan was the focus on academics due to stringent marking. Now he has removed it too, forcing every faculty to hand out marks like toffees to children. One would expect that the spare time would lead the students to engage in other extra-curricular activities (moots, conferences, papers and all), but it has only led to holding one street-level sports league to another every other week. The lenient marking has amplified the low IQ people to such an extent that first years are being mocked to focus on their intra moot, rather than participating in the gully-cricket league. Idk if it's the environment or something else, but the all the new batches are breaking unheard magnitude of patheticness. No one can even write a paper without requesting a prompt for it on ChatGPT.

The placements haven't improved one bit, being just as bad as they were before Faizan's arrival. With just two PPOs for batch of 2025 (one of of which is non-law domain), I keep regretting every day why I chose to study here.
