None of your solutions are helpful.
Your best bet is to find a boutique that needs folks for corporate work, learn, upskill on the job and then look to work your way up - either at the boutique where you grow or by moving to traditionally tiered firms.
In my third year at a Tier 1 NLU, I realised my CGPA was below par and I won't secure internships through the college recruitment cell. So, I sent over 800 personalised emails to partners, and only two responded with opportunities. But that’s all I needed. Statistically, if you email 1,000 people, maybe 15 will respond, and one will offer an opportunity but that’s enough. Do you really think applying to just 50+ law firms is sufficient?
If I were you, here’s what I’d do:
1. Cold Emailing Partners: Email atleast 50 people daily, targeting various sectors and requesting an assessment internship. Your banking and finance experience is irrelevant; whoever offers you a position defines your focus. Research their blogs, papers, or deals, and reference those in your emals to show genuine interest.
2. Network Through Connections: Ask your college friends who are in firms for referrals, ask your relatives, someone might be a client. Leverage LinkedIn to connect with people and actively request opportunities.
3. Target Smaller Firms: If necessary, visit the offices of Tier 3/4 firms and personally request assessment internship opportunities.
4. Publish Articles: Contribute to reputable blogs like NLSBLR and Indicorplaw to build credibility, which you can leverage to reach out to partners.
5. Explore Litigation as a Backup: If you’re persistent, you'll get at least one opportunity. If firms don’t work out, consider corporate or commercial law lawyers target chambers of AORs. You might find you enjoy litigation or use it as a stepping stone.
6. Consider CLAT PG as a Last Resort: A high rank in CLAT PG can open PSU jobs or you can pivot to academic options. Though the pay may be low, it can keep you afloat.
Skip any paid courses like Lawsikho, they are worthless and are used to lure kids, they will show you dreams, take all your money and it won't result in anything. Use your savings for essentials instead, until you secure a job. Your mistakes won’t define you; the steps you take now will.
2. ibps is an excellent option. also try for sebi in case you are eligible. but dont get tangled in the web of entrance exams. it is a colossal waste of time after a point. you can earn everything back but not your health (with exceptions), reputation (with exceptions) and most importantly time (no exceptions).
3. any such course is at best an add-on. would you care to pay extra for the aisle/window seat and the shit sandwich if your main goal is to fly from a to b? prioritise your health time and money in that order. don't spend money and waste your precious time out of fomo. some courses may be useful but most are usually trash. learn to spot the useful ones. for ex. if you are in bombay and you are interested in securities law and want to pursue a course in it then where should you apply?
4.(bonus) start working with lawyers who practice in nclt and roc if nothing else works. your bad cgpa will not be a factor if you can deliver results. gradually transition to small boutique firms doing the kind of work you are interested in. the only way to compensate for your so called mistakes (which in the long-run may not feel like mistakes-you might even realize they were blessings-in-disguise) is to silently work towards becoming a domain expert by working with domain experts and building a reputation for delivering results. ruthless cost cutting on personal expenses-stringent budgeting-brutal elimination of frivolous expenses-avoid getting married or becoming a parent-do not waste too much money on depreciating assets-avoid saving and learn to make informed investments-make yourself the most well-read person on the domain you are in-interact with relevant firm partners on linkedin-publish your thoughts on the the specific domain in newspapers or your blog or linkedin or your college magazine/publications.

1. 1] I did a 3-year LLB.
2. 2] I want to get into corporate law because i can’t afford to pursue litigation.
3. 3] Only published 2 papers that also in some random publication and not related to corporate law.
4. 4] I have 6 months of full-time internship experience in a law firm working in BFSI, but I made the mistake of leaving that job (I had my reasons, but I won’t elaborate here).
5] Have bad CGPA
what are my solution over here?
1] I’ve decided to publish 6 more research papers or blogs. Where should I publish them?
5. 2] I’m intending to take the IBPS SO exam since my CGPA has disqualified me from many other government exams.
3] Should I take a Lawsikho course? I’ve read on other LI chats that they help improve your skill set. However, I don’t have the money right now, so I would first need to find a job to afford it.
