Clear signs of anti-immigrant sentiment. For us ,the important questions to see are:
1. Whether this is restricted to Islamic countries or is expanded to cover India too.
2. Whether the US, UK, Aus etc will follow with struct rules. Settling abroad will become very hard then

The base salary increase required for a skilled worker visa from Pound 26200 to Pound 38700 and the specific requirement that the salary for a skilled worker must be at least 38700 or 50% of the 'going rate' (whereas before it was 25%) for that occupational code (whichever is higher) (unless the applicant is in a new entry applicant to the market position, or under 26 years of age, in which case the base is, if I remember right, Pound 30000, which is much higher than what many UK companies pay to those in these positions).
2. Tightening restrictions on students (no dependents allowed anymore, except for those in certain categories). I have heard that they are also planning to increase the living costs bar (i.e., how much money students need to be able to show) for visa applications for students studying in London from Pound 1,334 to Pound 1,483 and the bar is increasing for those outside London as well (with the change (if this is true) taking effect next January).
3. Increasing the amount that an immigrant needs to pay for the Immigration Health Surcharge (i.e., the payment required to use the health service) by almost 35%.
The move would curb migration and “protect against the acute dangers posed by Islamist terrorism and serious crime,” said Nancy Faeser, the interior minister.
So India is presumably safe.
