However, I do think NUJS, NLUJ and NLIU are lagging behind a bit. This could be because of a law firm skew in graduate recruitment. This, in turn, may because of factors like a conservative middle-class mindset or an EWS background, where earning money immediately after graduation becomes important, so students opt for law firms.
If I look at the NUJS, NLUJ and NLIU alumni practising right now in the SC, I honestly cannot see anyone becoming very high-profile. Sorry to say this.
- By when will this happen? Another decade? Another 20 years?
- Which alumni from non-NLSIU NLUs are in pole position to make it big? The next GShanks or the next Dayan Krishnan?
- Will these non-NLSIU NLU alumni ever make it big, given that they will face greater competition and NLSIU already has a big first-mover advantage?
