It's very easy to live in a false sense of reality when you aren't actively fighting Delhi heat while going through reams of horseshit houses where landlords are demanding kidneys.
I understand that Bombay is worse, of course it is, but Delhi isn't the renter's paradise it used to be five years ago. If you believe otherwise, you just haven't tried looking for a house recently. I have.
Your failure to find a decent house sounds like a you problem. Plenty of great properties in delhi even now, although understandably the number is fewer than, say, five years ago.
Fair opportunities and exposure - unlikely that delhi can compete.
Living expenses - delhi will only go up.
