Parents business not looking so bad now…..especially if years later I might end up back there only…….
Nope - even STEM folks (which has the highest demand) find it difficult to gain employment in foreign countries nowadays. MBA is even worse.
Exploring options of opening a business is the best thing any day any time
Would love a spin off thread where people give their tips on how to generate business for teams within corporate firms
Scratch, claw and hack away at it all you will, but there just isn't the market for it in India.
If you mean the title partner at any firm yeah anyone can be that at pqe 9-10 but if you mean a partner partner who's heading a big team bringing in the best clients best deals best tours, the practice is very top heavy. No one's retiring.
Really? As a fresher aiming for corporate and someone who already would have to put alot of efforts to secure a t1 firm job, this seems scary. So very few people become partner now after 8-9 pqe? I thought almost everyone becomes
Career continues if you're not stuck in a rut, at that PQE, I would be looking to shift to GC or funds (if applicable). Wonderful opportunities there and a view to the other side of the fence!
Is foreign MBA a good option, given the current poor market condition.
New partners will always be needed. That’s how growth happens organically. It’ll just get more competitive, but it’ll be much more lucrative.
