And you've determined that all these things, which you think are needed are sorely lacking in the individual concerned and collegium made a horrendous mistake, isn't it?
Bruh only few partners get to that level where they can make around 7 crores a year.
Interesting, if he has made 35 crores (net!) in the last 5 years doing dispute resplution within SAM, Ashwath and Raghubir are probably at 60 crores net in M&A/PE over the same period. How do these guys have the motivation to keep going?
are you a first year law student? Can you atleast try to mask your ignorance
He studied his LLB from ILS Pune. Bro do your research
Isn't 7 cr a year too less for a person who is recommended for judgeship? That's good money for sure, but a senior advocate usually make much much more of his calibre.

That’s not his salary. It’s his average net income for the past 5 years. His salary will be higher, this is his income post deduction of expenses.
not 7 cr its 1 .48 crore per year; 7.4 cr was for 5 years time

Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamorrthy (MADRAS high court), Ex partner of Dua Associates is the first High court judge to be elevated from a law firm.
You do realise that their names are recommended by Collegium only after they accept the offer?

Bunch of other DHC lawyers said yes, but their names have not been recommended.
He is from Gujarat University. Also a salary of 7cr per year.
The point is he was a law firm lawyer who was elevated to be a senior advocate and then a HC judge. Very impressive trajectory.

On a personal note, might I add that Som was always very easy to work with.
you said the same thing? Please interpret and formulate ideas clearly before you vocalise them
I think Harish Narasappa was with Samvad when he was called to bar###
Which literally means he wasn't part of JSA when he got the nod
Yes, but he had left partnership of JSA before that.
Incorrect. He was independent when he was called to bench.
Somsekhar Sunderesan has been offered it earlier from JSA.

Kudos to Karia for this. He's an ILS Pune alumnus.
And here i thought theres no future of judgeship in corp firm. He is probably the first partner from some T1 for such recommendation, opinions ?
