We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

On law (since you mentioned your thirst for the field is not quenched) - consider Nani Palkhivala - Courtroom Genius (dense but rewarding); any good legal autobiography; any law and philosophy books or articles (consider Hart, Raz and Dworkin to start with - this might take you into the wonderful world of philosophy too); the Devilβs Advocate (Iain Morley), etc.
Another way to get a taste of the law - Listen to US SC oral arguments. Watch Indian SC constitution bench and Indian HC videos. Watch lectures of people like RF Nariman and mylaw interviews of legends.
And read and watch a lot of non-law too, whatever interests you and that you consider quality content.
Bonus tip - consider learning music. This is the most time youβll get ;)
If your peers are dolts - don't sleep in afternoon. Use this time to read. Most substance abuse takes place at night - get sleep.
Don't bother with job etc. If you are fried - chill. Get some medication and see a doctor. Keep it on the down low and sort your health out. The sentence on "draining and just waking up every day is a fucking chore i don't want to do anymore" - would require you to sort your health out (mental + physical).
The first job etc wont matter. Learn how to absorb information, synthesize it in a coherent form. That will come from reading - a lot of reading.
See if you can help early stage founders. They are more willing to hire.
Else learn a new skill which you can use online.
