Your point; not many are NUS grads (factually wrong; check their website. Many of the faculty graduated NUS law).
They are not leading academics (factually wrong, many of them in the above category itself, are leading their field in criminal law, arbitration, law and society. If you were old enough to remember Stanley Yeo's visit to NUJS and NLS, you'll clearly not be even making such a silly, patently obvious, argument).
They don't go on to lead companies (factally wrong: check their placement stats, most of their grads are in the top law firms in the US and UK, in addition to Singapore itself of course).

Have you ever seen a Western university trumpeting that they have a NUS faculty in their ranks? After all, NUS is apparently the No.1 university in Asia.
NUS has foreign students and foreign faculty because they need them, not want them. These are important criteria for any international ranking. Everything is carefully calibrated.
