From Wikipedia, I can see that the age of consent in India is 18, while in the US, Europe, South America and Australia it is between 14 and 16, depending from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. But is there any international law on this? The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child says anon under 18 is a child, so technically any country having an age of consent below 18 is breaking international law?
People are getting grossed out on the Iraqi proposal, but even 14 seems too young.
