I was born in Hyderabad before the state split and currently reside in Maharashtra. I would like to completely drop my middle name y but do not know what to do. I just know all of this is going to be a tedious process. Help! I need to submit job applications soon.
Change of name is a straightforward process but you will have to send application to all of the above issuing agencies. Basically you file an affidavit before any notary (thy have a standard format) and then publish it either in the gazette or (easier) local newspapers. Submit a copy of the publication and the affidavit along with your name change request at each of the IDissuing agencies.
