HNLU- okayish placements, not better than NLUO
MNLU- v new
NLUO doesn’t do much besides getting a Corp job. Not sure about the Mooting and ADR culture as well.
Mumbai is a great advantage and classes ended by 12.30 so running internship is possible.
Lastly, this coming from a PPO holder, so I do know the placement stats and the industry. Thanks though for your time.
1. Foreign placements - Yes (Clifford and Chance)
2. LLM - Yes (Cambridge, NYU, Oxford, Duke etc).
3. Domestic Placements - internships for top 10 rankers of the Batch for all tier-1s. And if you’d be aware placements are a thing anymore, PPOs are.
1. MNLU: The Mumbai advantage is sometimes underplayed- it counts A LOT if you want to:
a) join a senior counsel/counsel at the Bombay High Court;
b) join a Bombay-based boutique law firms (which have an open preference for Mumbai-based colleges) + you will have great lateral entry chance into T-1 Firms after 2/3 yrs PQE in such firms;
c) join a T-1 Firm directly, and once you have some PQE under your belt, you can apply to a foreign firm. This route makes more sense to me than opting for it straight out of law school.
2. NLIU: If LLM is your endgame, then there are no two opinions- go for NLIU any day. They have a good corp culture too. But here me out - its 2029 we are talking about. After NLS, NALSAR, NUJS, NLUD, NLUJ, I won't vouch for any
Even if they don't have the 'academic rigour' of top NLUs, you can head for internships straight away (ask @GLC peeps) all around Mumbai. Believe me, if you

3. MNLU - Last two years were breakout years, will consistently compete now + actual Mumbai advantage
4. NLU O - Placements are decent but everything else is.... questionable.
