Medal tally of China right now: 25 medals, including 11 golds. Going back to Tokyo, China had 89 medals. Even Taiwan had 12 medals and a tiny country like New Zealand had 20.
So we need to stop celebrating a few bronzes and aim to be like China. It's shameful that we are the world's largest country and win such few medals. We need to increase GDP, push children to take up sports and invest more in sports.
