Newsflash, that's true for most of the NLUs, given that there are 80k people sitting for CLAT! 34+ PPOs are real (that makes 45% of batch, I think the OP mistook it for numbers). This is all by students and despite the admin doing everything that they could do to promote the 3 yr llb batch at the cost of 5 yr llb batch (like hiring 'placement officers' to put roadblocks in the path of 5 yr llb's rcc, deputing new-era faculty to write laughable 'testimonials', proclaiming at the 🅱️india t🅾️day conference that 3 yr llb is a more 'theoretically rigorous' program than 5 yr llb, and declaring to 5 yr llbs in the classroom that their jobs are not a matter of concern for the top guy of the institution that, mind you, imparts professional education). Guys like RS are the only few who have been helpful and kind to 5 yr llbs in organising recruitment drive related stuff. Sadly, NLS' days of glory are going to be over with perhaps this last good performance. Its all a matter of 4-5 years before it gets toppled in rankings. Because, guess what, that perfect perception score that keeps it on the top in NIRF will go down once those gazillion students in the first year will graduate with no jobs. No amount of 'theoretical rigour' will keep that pumped up like the '100% placement' used to.

Boss, don't create these artificial divide between faculty. One programme asked for testimonials from some faculty, they got it. One programme asked for help from a faculty, they got it. I would be surprised if faculty think of it as some great battle between the programmes where everyone is choosing sides, and backing one programme over the other. The same faculty teach us and them.

Excellent work by the student-run BA LLB RCC. This should hopefully shut up people (including sadly, some students) who believe that the RCCs are useless and that bureaucrats who have no idea about the legal industry will somehow get them placed.

You've made an announcement to the world that most of the students with some substance in your batch are gone and only those who couldn't get anything remain, genius. Does that other batch putting up a basic brochure trigger you so much you'll act against your own interest.

If out of batch size 90, 35 are gone, then who exactly is left? Bar 2-3 students, it'll be those in the low 4s and 3s in terms of CGPA. Will being in NLS be enough of a reason to overlook mediocre performance? Doubtful. Guess we'll see.

If you anything at all about recruitment, you'd know that PPO/Callbacks are not entirely based on CGPA or ranks - it has a lot to do with luck. A major problem is how teams don't have a hiring capacity but still take on interns. This has happened to a LOT of people I know, even within this batch. Luckily firms are smart and know this. A lot of great candidates still remain.

Clat 2020 was such a bs exam. I saw so many kids from a certain area/ coaching class get the top ranks and irl they don't even make the cut. Some don't even know how to speak properly. I just don't understand how people allowed it to float away. The last minute change in pattern, mode and messed up centres that aren't even competent to conduct an online exam. On top of it multiple COVID restrictions on candidates selectively. Which exam is even legit at this point?
