No MBA mandates BBA or Bcom in UG. If that's the case then IITians too won't be eligible for MBA. There would be no option that you would be giving up if you chose BBA over BA or vice versa. Its more about what you're comfortable with. It really won't affect anything else.

Who told you that a BBA or BCom is essential for pursuing an MBA? All you need is a grad degree in any stream. There are thousands of people with BA, BTech and BSc degrees who go on to pursue an MBA later.
