We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I have received an offer of provisional admission to the Ph.D. Programme in Social Sciences at NLU-D. My subject area is Political Science.
From 2024β2025, NLU-D has started Ph.D. Programme in Social Sciences for Political Science, Sociology, Criminology, Economics and English. But looking at their faculty directory, it appears that they only have one professor with explicit academic training in Political Science, and that too in International Relations (Prof. (Dr.) Maheshwar Singh). While it may be true that other faculty members, despite being primarily from Law, are also capable of inter-disciplinary research and supervising students from non-legal backgrounds like Political Science, how easy do you think the overall process for the same would be? As someone from Political Science, I am particularly curious about the kind of topics that I can pursue and the kind of research methodology that the faculty would be comfortable with.
Thank you for your time.
