Clat asks basic level CR and Legal reasoning questions and this year’s paper was very sub-par. In general it’s easy only. Even the toughest clat passages were a complete C-Grade rip off of GMAT and LSAT (US), even then the exam was doable.
The advent of specialist education became very prominent after liberalisation.

Nowadays Stephen's, DU admissions are not that difficult compared to past. But it's still difficult.
