AZB's competition work in terms of amount is more than that of Sam's. Sam has like 15 partners now so AZB's hiring is just fine. I know this internally.
They're looking for experienced associates too.
Azb hires for competition team from hnlu for no good reason (Bharat budholia is friends with hnlu professor). I worked with them but found them incompetent and thus, Partners used to micromanage. Except 1-2, associates aren't good. One SA is brilliant. All partners are superb. Ram is great. Hemangini is fantastic. Toshit is of great temperament. Bharat is the most intelligent person ik. Let's see how new partners turn out.
We all know the truth please
Apart from these, SAM has some nice, warm people (AM, for example), as does CAM (heard praise for VP a lot): but both of these places are so crammed with work that I doubt you'd get to see any of it.
On the other end, Indus & Saraf barely get core work, but the partners came off as pretty chill from my off-work communications with them. At the end of the day, you gotta take your pick, I guess.
Ela Bali (JSA) is fantastic. Amazing human being.
Ram (AZB) is superb. Great temperament. He's quite cool.
Samir G (Axiom) is supremely talented. ▮▮▮
Harman Sandhu (SAM) is on whole another level. He is unreal, extremely kind, sweet and confident.
Karan Chandhiok is a gem. He single-handedly fights against T-1s and has beaten them couple of times. He got 100% penalty reduction for Panasonic.
Toshit is nice too but he isn't that senior.
Most of SAM partners are nice and hardworking. AZB partners are brilliant but I can't say the same about their HNLU Associates are poor. JSA has a close-knit team.. they're good too. KCO has Soham Banerjee who is a PA but can go toe to toe with any partner ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ . CAM is okay. P&A is ▮▮▮. KK Sharma not worth joining. Saraf, L&L and Dsk are dormant. TT&A has subjective views but I think it's good only.
He might have mellowed down now after becoming a partner/father, but the north remembers.
You cost someone their career, chances are the trauma stays with them for years/life.
Whatever else is said - take it under advisement - before you speak to him.
