MNLU Aurangabad has got VC today ie 8 July 2024.
Wait for Assam....
By the way, any word on the campuses in Asansol and Jalpaiguri?
Has this space become a complete trolling ground where people anonymously vent their frustrations? Are they simply allowed to sling mud at individuals who are not present to defend themselves? Those who cast aspersions against professors, officers, or VCs must understand the journeys these individuals have undertaken. Criticizing without insight diminishes the integrity of discourse and fails to recognize the achievements required to reach such heights. Let's stay away from it and have some engaging academic discussion.
Sudhir is the only one who is young and who wants to take NLS Bangalore to a certain position internationally.
Rest all passing time. Enjoying the perks and powers of being a VC. Some of them occupying the post for fun and as a post retirement benefit. Some of them want to remain VC till they die. Many of them only making money, keeping High Court happy, loot as much as they can. They are also promoting nepotism and trying to appoint as many of their relatives and bhakts in key teaching and administrative positions.
All the NLUs have deteriorated in last 10/15 years. Only NLS Bangalore an exception.
Compare Nalsar of 2005-10 with what it is in 2024.
NUJS till 2010 and now.
NLU Delhi under Ranbir Singh and now.
Only hope is more and more grads of NLS, Nalsar, Nujs become VC and change the situation.
TIMES OF INDIA: BHOPAL: National Law Institute University (NLIU), a top law school, is in the midst of controversies with the sacking of two professors, allegations of financial irregularities and another section of faculty members demanding setting up a commission to review its working as statutorily required under the law.
Trouble began in the premier law university last week when two senior professors, Prof. G S Bajpai and Associate professor Dr Moin Mustazar were 'removed' by the executive council for allegedly awarding marks to three Ph D students without evaluating their answer sheets.
Does GSB have LLB? Was that a mandatory requirement for NLUD VC position? Many had protested when Lizzie was selected for TNNLU but she had the foresight to have completed a LLB degree at some point during her stint at NLSIU.
MKS did his LLB after doing LLM at Nottingham. In UK (and maybe elsewhere as well) having an LLB is not mandatory for LLM. Preferred, yes. But MKC had a PhD in International Relations from JNU and a body of work and that was deemed good enough for LLM entry.

3. NLUD - Bajpai
4. DNLU - Manoj Sinha
5. NLUO - Ved
6. HNLU - Vivekanandan
7. GNLU - Shantakumar
8. Nalsar - SKD Rao
9. Nujs - NKC
10. NLUJ - Harpreet
11. MNLU Nagpur - Vijender
What you think?
Apart from Sudhir, which VCs do you think are doing a decent job to help the ship stay afloat ? They may not be as revolutionary as Sudhir but are still doing a good job with their position. Anyone ?
