Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
First and foremost, make it very clearly known, right from day 1, that you’re looking to get placed in that team. Make your intentions clear, and what you’re expecting.
Second, be smart with who you work with, deliverables wise. Obviously, you need to be very pro-active and expressly ask for work, but also ensure you’re doing work for the partner, principal associates and counsels. Basically, those who call the shots. It’s very easy to get work and impress A0-3s, but you need to aim higher.
Lastly, Trilegal follows a 3 step process. After the callback, you’ll have to schedule an interview. Assuming there’s no snags from HR’s end (believe me, I’ve seen extremely prospective interns lose their chance at a PPO solely because of HR incompetence. Make sure you follow up repeatedly, and keep them in your good books) and your partner finds the time to, you’ll have your first round of interviews. Clearing that, you’ll either have a written test or have the second interview with a neutral partner.
Only once you’ve completed all these steps, is when you bag a PPO at Trilegal.
