Our university has shaped the mooting culture in a very positive way by reimbursing mooting expenses, regardless of whether one is eliminated in domestic moots, since its inception in 2016. Other NLUs mostly reimburse only if certain criteria are met, which is non-existent in our beloved Santara Law University.

This policy remained unchanged even during the COVID-19 pandemic and financial shortages under the Udhhav regime (who didn't even attend the inaugural ceremony of the academic block, for obvious reasons, since NLUs have been a pet project of the BJP-led government in the state).

It's true that the financial situation is not as rosy as it should be, but even then, the policy remains intact. Though the reimbursement process is cumbersome and might take a semester to complete, it's still beneficial as it doesn't let costs become a barrier for the underprivileged.

Speaking specifically about these individuals and the moot, if you want to help, then do so; if not, at least please refrain from making them feel otherwise by passing unwarranted comments.

Times can be grim or rosy. If you can't support, then please refrain from making demoralizing remarks.

That's a very valid point. Not attacking this very team and I hope they do manage their funds but once you know an international round is there then plan accordingly? I still give benefit of doubt that first time maybe the college has qualified so they underestimated the finances, but they'd a reckless mistake at best.

I don't understand why people pick up moots when they know that they themselves or their colleges can't fund it? I understand some big organisation sponsoring moot teams, but a fund raiser for a moot team? Seriously? And this is not even some really big shot moot like Jessup or Vis, it is mostly like the team wants a vacation to a foreign land on someone else's expense.

A team from NLU Nagpur, comprising Aadi Jain, Divyanshi Sethi, Khushi Ruchandani and Anushka Gupta, one of the top 3 teams from India and among the top 15 teams worldwide, to qualify for the global rounds of the prestigious Nuremberg Moot Court Competition, is seeking sponsors in order to participate in the international rounds of the competition, scheduled to be held in Nuremberg, Germany, from July 24th to 27th, 2024.

The team is currently facing significant financial constraints. As students, it is beyond their individual means to fully fund this endeavor. They are actively seeking generous sponsorships from the legal community to help cover these costs and ensure their participation in the competition.

The estimated budget is INR 9 lac. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be immensely helpful and deeply appreciated.
