I’m in my final year final semester at CLC and have job offers from two places: a great litigation chamber under an awesome white-collar crime lawyer, and a Tier-3 corporate firm. both with decent pay and in my core areas But, I failed a subject in my third semester, and there’s no supplementary exam for it. So, I have to wait until February to retake it and get my bar ID. I told both places I’d get my bar ID by September or October, and they said I could work as a trainee until then.

Now, I’m anxiously waiting for the revaluation result. If it doesn’t go my way, I’ll lose both placements, which will seriously mess up my career and mental health. I’m super anxious, frustrated, and full of self-doubt. I worked really hard for these placements, juggling internships, college, and exams, and one exam has totally thrown me off track.

Waiting six months is going to be really tough because the thought of that failed exam is haunting me and everybody will judge me based on my failure including my family, friends, peers, and connections I made throughout my internships and everybody will consider me as a poor student.

I won't be attending my farewell and any meet-ups at all cause I'll be bluffing them.

Exact opposite situation as you mate. Final sem CLC, aced all my exams with 60+ every sem but at the cost of shitting the bed in all my internships. I have a grand total of zero job offers and extremely anxious about what the heck to do after graduation.

Coming to your issue I have heard that law fac holds fifth sem repeat exams after the sixth sem. Try and see if you can give improvement then. If not then try talking with your HR/advocate and say that your exam results are delayed due to some admin issue or something. Knowing du, it's not unbelievable.

Why do you think so much and so negatively. It’s a single bloody failed exam. Who cares? I can tell you in the real world, none of us give a shit. Stop being so trepidatious and live your life boldly and do what you want. I partied with my buddies at graduation and thereafter even though I didn’t have a job at the time.

Tell your employer. You can work as a trainee for a year or so with a condition that if you don't get your id by then, there would be re-assessment of your employment at that time - shouldn't matter to your employer. If you don't tell the truth now, it may jeopardize your career if they find out later.
