Are you serious? If your argument is that voters voting for Congress was consideration for Congress paying them money, then this is the definition of a contract against public policy.
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ you have to understand the difference between a mere promise and a general offer
The Congress itself never promised to pay, so there was never a personal promise to pay. The Government of India would pay once Congress was in power. If the promise to pay does not emerge from the maker, then how is it a promissory note?
...a promissory note payable to the bearer on demand? Since when are those legal, other than the ones issued by the Reserve Bank?
And under which law are DPN payable to a bearer banned?
You must be some first or second year law student who has clearly slept in contract law classes and hasn't read representation of people's act yet. Read the law kid.

Voting pattern shows students are voting on the basis of ideology rather than application of law. The fact is that this is a blatant legal violation and I read in the papers that some people May approach the courts.
Oh this is so stupid. No. There isn’t any liability. Just like when Modi ji made promises to put 15 lakhs in our account he’s not liable either. Please study in law school.
No, he did not promise. As much as any litigation on this ground will fail, PM Modi made no such promise.
