We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Fat people aren't just fat, they, more often than not, are frustrated/ angry and sad - because of low self-esteem/pride and poor response/ attitude of people toward them (relative to those who appear more presentable).
Pro-tip for women to fat or lean for their own good-
Finding your fitter self will surely take time. But in the meantime, wear Saris or Kurta and get your clothes stitched by a good tailor master (I can recommend good ones for Delhi and Mumbai). Avoid skirts or any other form of Western attire if you are โobeseโ (at least, for the time being). Don't be that person whose belly button is flashing at the word, between the spaces in your shirt. Stick to whites and lighter fabrics that breathe well. Saris hide excess weight like nothing else! Get them your saris/ kurtas stitched with enough margin inside for future alterations as you lose/ gain weight and look your better self!
So, if you are overweight, and those extra pounds and kilos are an outcome of a bad lifestyle, change it. Exercise, eat right and meditate.

Obesity is a disease. Thatโs an objective fact. In a safer and better word, the moderator would have marked your comment trollish or contested at the very least.
As for clothing - honestly as long as itโs tasteful and in the right size - most things will look okay. The tricky thing is to buy in the right size and not for some aspiration also size. When youโre at goal weight - you can then buy goal weight clothes.
I am not far/obese and fall within my BMI. I'm not toned enough to be confident and have issues with my chest and hip size makes me conscious with the shirt tucked in especially. I have just stopped doing that and keep my shirt out. It's comfortable, idc.
