True da! Why cant they have an office right next to my home in Kanpur? Its a great place to live, very economical with a lot of Indian companies around ;)
Lucknow was just an example. Cited majorly With respect to cost of living, the availability of forums etc.
Kanpur aur Lucknow? UP Bihar mai kisko kaam karna hai!
UP mai advocates aur courts ki zarurat nahi hai, vaha pe sirf bulldozer insaaf karta hai. Hence, law firms do not operate in these cities.
In which multiverse is Lucknow better than Mumbai? On what metric exactly?
You may hate Mumbai but it's the only city that can make anyone successful.
The entitlement is jarring. Lucknow is a brilliant place to grow up in. Plus balcony ke liye struggle nahi hai, kyuki terrace hai.
Vahi terrace se gao khede dikhte hai. From a Mumbai window you see skyscrapers.

Would you rather live in New York or Pakistan?
Abbey Dharavi ka naam sunna hai? Mumbai mai hi hai na? Also agar Lucknow se Gao dikhte bhi hote, toh Gao se problem kya hai? Villages> Slums. Look beyond your elitism.
If you did your own research dharavi has a number of small businesses running inside and is a major part of Mumbai being a financial hub unlike gaons from Lucknow, because most people there are unemployed. I have huge respect for the people living in dharavi.
Would those Dharavi businesses hire a law firm? And if you did your research on Lucknow.....
Beta Lucknow se Gao nahi dikhta Tumhare skyscrapers se Slums dikhte hain.

One reason and one only.

Fees.

Clients will pay premium fees to offices of firms based in NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore. Nowhere else. Not even Chennai and Hyd. Bombay office of, say AZB will get better fees than one in Chennai, if they had one there.
