Hi. Let me establish my credibility by saying that I'm a graduate from SLS NOIDA and work in a tier 1 law firm in Bombay. Both the colleges are decent, I would not say that in terms of education there is any difference, but the brand value of SLS Pune is miles ahead of SLS N, and be mindful brand does matter. Having said that, if you have financial constraints, don't worry about joining SLS N over SLS P. The curriculum of SLS N is designed in a way that you get to intern a lot during the 5 yrs. (it may be partly because the college doesn't have high hopes of placing students). Jokes apart, any given day SLS P is the better option. But you can work on other things to land yourself a half decent job, honestly, I can say at least for my batch, there is not a single person who wanted to get into a law firm and couldn't get in. Some of us may have started at smaller places but are all doing well now. Take your own decision, don't get influenced by this, nor am I trying to say that getting into a law firm means that you have arrived in life, the decision has to be YOURS, this is just to give you some perspective.

Hey i dont know which college u chose in the end.. I here got both the options like sls noida and pune and I chose pune but the sour opinions towards sls noida is next level shit dude.. Not everyone get selected in sls noida and it indeed is a reputable institution with fair share of people getting nice placements.. I searched online and got to know many people from slsn joined trilegal this year... And u live in delhi dude.. If u were from some other state then choosing pune would have been an understandable point but delhi has its own benefit which u would get.. But not denying the fact that pune has their own.. So consider your own view and dont go and ask random people their opinion...

i am in sls noida and according to the placement shown by the college we have at least 26 students placed in tier 1 plus good tier 2 law firms though i did not join the meeting but the screenshots for the same were sent to us. Other than this maybe students are also placed in companies but these 26 were given to us with names. I know they are not much but it is more than what the people on this site told me. It has taught me not to blindly believe everything said here. The teachers at SLS N are also very supportive and if you stay away from all the wrong things you can do well for yourself. SLS P though already has a reputation and much better placements. If I was in your place I would have chosen SLS P in a heartbeat. I would have regretted that I spent so much money on a nice college but let go of the best option I had just because of money. I am saying this as someone from lower middle class studying in SLS Noida on a loan.

Campus, teachers, reputation alumni network wise SLS P is better. However, SLSN has the advantage of being in NCR. You get a lot more exposure, working practitioners teaching you specialized subjects, and the ability to intern after every semester and throughout your fourth and fifth year give you an edge in gaining experience. If you dont have a lot of family contacts but are sociable, SLSN can help you get alot of chances at getting to know alot more people. If you're planning to go into litigation, especially in Delhi, go for SLSN. If not, go for SLSP

If you wanna do corp, then definitely SLSP is a better option. Their mooting culture, placements, alumni base, competitiveness among students, all of this is better than SLSN. SLSN is like any random private college. SLSP is at par with Tier-2 NLUs. But if you have financial issues and wanna go for litigation or something, then you can choose SLSN over SLSP.

See generally SLSP is way better than SLSN as the former has better family and and more established brand image which helps it get way better placements. However in your case I suggest that you go to SLSN as you can be a day scholar there and save some money while having the peace of mind of starting at home.

I personally know a lot of fantastic lawyers from both SLS Pune and Noida. Of course, if finances weren’t an issue, SLS Pune might have made more sense. That being said, a lot of people decide to stay closer to their hometowns to save costs/be closer to family.

SLS Noida is a perfectly reputable school. Any college you go, you’ll have to put in the hours, hard work, sincerity and honesty, and that doesn’t change for SLS Noida as well.

but can you give some reasons why? interview is yet to be done. but yeah it'll take a LOT of convincing to get my parents to send me there. plus they all think Pune is a scum city at the point. I dont know what to do. also, loan scary. we already have a loan to repay so I have to be considerate

sls noida is nowhere near sls pune. However, pune is a much more expensive in terms of daily expenses. Even a 1bhk Unfurnished in viman nagar would cost around 20k (a decent flat). If you have a lawyer in the family, and if you have good connections, in my opinion go for SLS Noida. You can get a head start in terms of internship experience.

i had more than 98 percentile. I'm kinda worried. score was 44. middle class (from delhi), so fees is an issue. I do have a lawyer in my family. what would be best? noida with minimal student loan? it's gonna be a 3 hr total from home to college and back daily if i dont take hostel or anything. but pune itself is more expensive as well as additional hostel charges anyway and then coming back to delhi ocassionally. yeah interview is yet to be done but I'm trying to figure this out.
