Around 50% of my paycheck goes in rent and other expenses. For my batchmates placed in Delhi, it's no more than 20-25%.
That is so true. A horrendous place to live if you are poor. Delhi is much better if you are on a budget.

Totally agree, Bombay is a shithole, not worth the extra money.
Bombay doesn't "feel like" a giant slum. It IS a giant slum. Unless the government takes over slum land (which these people occupy illegally) and moves them outside the city, nothing will change.

The thing is people there glorify their living condition. They literally be like: missing. mumbai ki local, mumbai ka traffic. Reminds me of a dialogue by Sunil shetty from some movie. Bhai defend kyu kar rahe ho galat chiz ko?
Big cities like Bombay are shining examples of all that glitters is not gold. I would love to get a remote job and work from my tier 3 city.
