What are the chances of assessment trainee position getting converted into full time? Also do they pay during that time?

yes - assessment trainees are paid. The chances for conversion depends on the team and your performance during the assessment, however, it is likely given that one gets accepted as an assessment trainee

Yes trainees get paid a paltry amount. Most likely will get converted unless you're exceptionally bad. JSA has terrible standards for attorneys anyway so it is a low bar to entry.
