Yes, but doing internships in your first two years is how you get internships in your 3rd and 4th year.
Yeah mostly because others will not want to take a first year kid. Go to courts and get some practical knowledge on how courts function. It will later help while studying CrPc and CPC.
By the time you trim down your CV for any job interview, you'll have no internships from 1st year on it.

Use your 1st gen office for internship. And take some time off to chill. 1st year internships don't really matter in the long run

How do you not know about internship avenues if you are a second gen lawyer? In any case, ask the first gen lawyer in your family.
Intern with your dad during the 1st year. In the 2nd year, look for research and other opportunities.
