Bumping for late moderation - this applies to a lot of us who would’ve left on bad terms but want to come back to work for a different team
If the Bom office partner looks at your CV and sees that you have worked at the firm before, it would be very odd if she/he then does not speak to your ex-partner and take feedback.
But is it common for partners to block it? Or will they be able to?

I don’t mind if they ask my ex boss about me as long as they still interview me because I know i have grown leaps and bounds since then
What if the Delhi partner and the Bombay partner don't get along?

Apply anyway. Let the cookie crumble. πŸͺ
These Bombay teams are oceans of lawyers, I don’t think you’ll even be noticed. Skip the firm retreat so your ex boss doesnt see you I guess?
OP here β€” would really appreciate some guidance on this. Am looking to apply soon.
Just apply brother. Why self reject? Along w your ex firm, apply to others as well. Don’t try to predict the future or be shitless anticipating the worst outcome. Do your bit.
Honestly don't know depends on the people involved but does it hurt to apply? I mean could take a lot of energy but you wouldn't find out if you don't try.
