Found it very disconcerting that the ▮▮▮ of the first edition of HIMCC (HNLU International Competition Law Moot 2024) did not bother releasing the scores of memorials, speakers, researchers, etc., despite many participants wanting the same. The HNLU Raipur ▮▮▮ outright refused to share the scores, despite promising the same earlier, casually neglecting the fact that to ensure transparency, disclosure of scores is required. The ▮▮▮ really needs to be called out for this so that they would at least release the scores now and hope that for the next edition of the moot (if it ever happens) none of these arbitrary acts are repeated. Given the fact that they're allegedly organizing an international moot, they should at least be aware of the standards that are expected of them - extremely disappointed. Nevertheless, hoping LI would post this so that participants of the next edition of the moot would be aware of the same, but most importantly, it is important that we have a larger discussion on the mooting culture in our country and what sort of issues participants have faced given that we spend quite a huge chunk of money in travelling and other expenses which are most likely not reimbursed by the college. There have also been issues with tabulation in the recent past for other moots as well. Wonder if this is the kind of precedent that our mooting community will have to deal with in the future - we better address them!
Huge Registration and accommodation fee totalling to 11000 + travel expenses.
A team at least deserves to know their position in the competition regardless of qualification.
