Can’t oversimplify capital markets. Very little to do with black letter law and very much to do with evolving market practice. Suggest you have your companies act in place because without it, the ICDR regulations make no sense and consequently neither does a DRHP. Know what a DRHP is - go through it. Understanding securities law is the next step, and a preliminary understanding of the primary and secondary market is required. Most of the people here will tell you to perceive it as nothing more but due diligence. But you can’t do due diligence without knowing all of this.

Of course, don’t sit to memorise all of it - but know where to look for when doing a deliverable. Nothing can prepare you for this. It’s either for you or it’s absolutely not. Not everyone’s cup of tea. If you don’t understand it and lose interest in it then it’s not for you and your fresher year is the best time to switch. But it takes time and patience. If you still can’t find enough fucks to give within 6 months then quit - and I say this with a lot of optimism. If you think the grass is greener on the other side, then it probably is.

Also, like, chill out until you start off. Don’t bother trying to prepare for a job you can easily learn while you’re at it. You’re not going to get this time back. Live your life. Take YOLO-ing seriously. Time is money and every moment is costly.
