With temperatures soaring to over a staggering 40 degrees Celsius, and the IMD issuing ominous orange alerts for heatwaves, the situation has become nothing short of unbearable for the students of NUJS, purportedly a tier-1 bastion of legal education and excellence.

Despite the desperate pleas of students, the administration's response has been disappointingly apathetic. The excuse of inadequate infrastructure and electric wiring has become a tired refrain, serving as a feeble shield against the glaring reality of student suffering. While other institutions such as NLUJ have swiftly adapted to modern amenities, NUJS remains mired in archaic excuses, leaving its students to swelter in the suffocating heat of neglect.

The SJA, once hailed as a beacon of student advocacy, now finds itself shackled by complacency and compromise. Instead of demanding meaningful change, it settles for the crumbs tossed by an indifferent administration, betraying the very essence of its existence. The spirit of protest that once coursed through the veins of NUJS has been replaced by a resigned acceptance of mediocrity, a far cry from the fervor that ousted the erstwhile VC PIB in 2018.

In a desperate bid for relief during their endsems, students now flock to the air-conditioned sanctuary of the auditorium, their mattresses strewn across the filthy floor in a pitiful attempt to escape the oppressive heat of their hostel rooms. Yet, even this makeshift refuge offers little solace, as the toll of heatstroke and fever ravages the student body with alarming frequency.

As we languish in this heatwave hell, it's time for NUJS to awaken from its slumber of indifference. We cannot afford to remain silent spectators to our own suffering, shackled by the chains of apathy and complacency. It's time to reclaim our voices, to demand the dignity and comfort that every student deserves. Let us rise, not in resignation, but in righteous indignation, and forge a future where the heat of injustice is but a distant memory.
What's stopping you all from protesting before the VC's chamber and boycotting exams until these legit demands are met? It's all the VC's fault and responsibility. The regi is just his puppet.
