Hello to all the law firm associates (all levels), partners (all kinds) and those who joined litigation in a chamber, hope you are all having a wonderful day!

At some point or the other, you must've dealt with interns and them 'bugging you' for work and the like. What I'm looking for is stories about some interns you all have worked with that made you go "what is this kid on?", whether it be weird behaviour, erratic work product (sometimes good, sometimes not), the sheer audacity and the like. Whatever set them apart, either in a good or bad fashion - you'll know better due to first hand experience. Did you end up hiring that kid?

Let this be a place to share weird stories anonymously to take a break from the animosity each group shows the other on this platform. Who knows? You may end up getting better interns if they read this thread!

To those in law school still, feel free to talk about your co-interns in the same fashion.
Give us some grace. We all are trying to learn and adjust with the intimidating environment; don't be unnecessarily harsh and rude.
The problem is that in many cases, these words don't match the attitude. In some cases, it does and it's good experience working with them but not so with others.
Give us some grace, too, yaar. We all are trying to deliver work in a high-pressure and high-stakes environment. Why can't we vent out when you be shitting here on bad associates/partners all day long?
Because it is your lot which perpetuates this toxicity.

Interns are not in an inherent power dynamic position to do it
Were you not an intern at one time? I understand interns being erratic and other things you mentioned might make interesting stories but "bugging you for work"? How else is someone supposed to get work if they don't ask? If the intern sits free, that's a problem. If they ask for work, it's bugging.
There was this Co-intern (X), came in through contacts. X came late, wanted to leave by 5 lol and sometimes even around 3pm itself. Did not anything about law. Had the audacity to make pretty rude comments about everyone and discussed personal stuff. Also, X publicly flaunted his/her ignorance, lack of self control etc and thought it was cool.
Do you have an intern like that? If yes, how about you share your experience?
What do you mean by 'bugging for work'? You have an issue if they do not come to you for work and then there is this. We are called interns for a reason, no need to bash us up for that. Thora chill toh bano.
