Well, after seeing what has happened in Surat, these words ring hollow. It's an absolute joke that BJP can get away with these sorts of actions and no one has the spine or more appropriately, the resources to speak out against them. Democracy in India is just behind what it was during the Emergency, dead. The grounds on which Indira Gandhi was disqualified as a MP would be considered frivolous and ignored when it comes to the ruling party now.
