Hi guys, received PPO through a contact and was to join this July. I cleared a good government exam and now want to join that service. Should I back off? Given that I also had a contact involved would it be bad on them?

They will blacklist you but I don't think they'll go to court for anything

Go ahead, provided you don't ever want to return to the same city. Nobody will bother with legal action.
